Single family home with additional one bedroom cottage. 3 bedrooms and two baths. The property is about 1/4 acre in size. We have 100 foot of canal frontage on the Conch Key Canal. The boat dock is 65 feet long and is in very excellent condition. We also have a 25 foot wide boat basin.
The house was fully renovated in 2007 and has a modern full kitchen, three bedrooms (5 beds), two full baths, Dade County Pine paneling and hardwood floors.
We are located on Conch Key, Milepost 63, at the foot of the Long Key Viaduct. The island is the home to many lobstermen, crabbers and fishermen. No shopping, no movies, no bars- just good living.
Conch Key is a 20 minute drive north/east of Marathon at milepost 63. Nearby we have the world famous Dolphin Research Center, and the Hawks Cay resort with several restaurants, a fully equipped marina, snorkeling and scuba tours and many charter fishing options. Just north of our island is the Long Key State Park with a marvelous nature trail and other amentites.
From our dock you can proceed directly into the wonderful world of flats, channels and islands of Florida Bay AND if ocean fishing and diving interest you- a five minute ride in a boat will take you under the Long Key Bridge into the Atantic. The reef is just few miles off shore.
Conch Key is the spiny lobster capital of the Keys. With an inexpensive license visitors are free to catch these delicacies (when in season, of course). And lobsters and stone crabs are available at reasonable rates from the men who make a living catching them.
Boat rentals are readily available and we can obtain discounts for our vacationers.
Charters are available on the island and nearby on Hawk's Cay.
